Eating a Meal With Your Church Family

One of the strengths of our church is that we share meals together and discuss the things of the Lord. We see this as an essential relationship building time that puts us in an arena where intimacy can flourish. Many people today desire to be anonymous in church. They would prefer to avoid deep relationships as much as possible. Certainly we can sympathize with those who may have had bad experiences in church--or who may have gotten close to people in church only to see them leave. That being said the Bible requires for us to be intimately involved in one another's lives. And though that will sometimes bring pain--it helps us to share our pain as we rejoice in the Lord together.
